Dealing with People at Work
If someone notices that you are "different" should you address it?
You could say, "well, I am a little withdrawn at times, don't take it personal". Although, if you take this route then they are under the impression that you will improve. Maybe your best still won't be good enough.
What do you tell your coworkers? I also have anxiety disorder too.
Do you out yourself? The group I work with is fairly small 10-12. I already told my boss of my difficulties and he seems to treat me nice so I don't think he will be a problem. There seems to be a good friendly relationship among all of them. I feel like I am suppose participate. I think my anxiety gets in the way more than the AS. I feel like when I get home I can let my hair down around my family. I think my coworkers would like that version of me better. When I am clamped up at work, I withdraw and say next to nothing.
What would you do?
Any research for TMS working with anxiety?
I want to make this work and not start off on the wrong foot.

Has someone actually said this? Or are you preempting? Curiously some workplaces are better suited for people who are different than others. I worked in the Theatre and if you weren't odd and creative you actually stuck out like a sore thumb.
I find being friendly and go that extra mile and make eye contact, at least in the beginning. I know it's tiring but after a while you can relax with them and they with you. Once that initial trust is formed you find people 'let their hair down' and you'll feel increasingly more comfortable in doing so; less eye contact will be a lot easier to manage once you've made them feel at ease.
The people at your work sound nice enough- think of them as the same as your family they just haven't had long enough to see how you're wired...
