Thanks in advance,
If you ever get a chance to work in retail, DON'T.
Most companies don't care about anything but numbers looking good, You'll never get treated well by management, you are never off when the rest of the world is, lots of hours standing, customers are generaly unhappy, pay is low, and most of the time you can't even make a lateral move to a different department.

Right now I'm a low-end suporvisor for a crew of about 3-4 in a sining team. When I started I thought I might go a bit farther than the redancy of the task were given to me. Now that I know my voice won't make a difference (to at least make conditions better)in the store or, for that matter the company, I need to move on.
I know what I don't want, which is lots of manual laobr and dealing with the general public. If I was younger it, wouldn't bother me as much but as I get older, I'd really rather not put up with it. I just don't have the temperment anymore. (I'm 50) I can gerally do good if I'm given an assignment and let a lone to do it. Very good with organizational skills and my hands. Bad with micromanagement pestering.
Surly there's got to be realistic job and career paths for aspies out there. Just need to know where to start.

You are 50 and I am 60, and I suggest we would have found those things by now if they actually do exist.

Looking back, I can say it seems best to work for the smallest company possible and definitely not in public-related positions such as sales. Also, and for those of us who can drive, making deliveries or running routes can sometimes be good ways to work mostly alone.

I'm assuming that you'd already know before now if you had a passion for something like computer programming or engineering, so other that...

Online sales from home, or maybe a warehouse position somewhere??

Sorry for the long delay in get back,
This is what I'm doing. Checking Indeed.com, also Craig's list, and the local work force comission. The job market here is poor but, I think the jobs are there just, harder to find. I'm considering moving however, I'm thinking out he pros and cons of it.
