I called the place in town about finding a job or doing some job prep type classes and guess what.

"Oh your working on that kind of degree REALLLY?" "We NEED someone to work with the disabled to help them find jobs........." Um ok but......."no here you apply and you can maybe get hired to help the disabled find jobs......"

Umm ok........and this was calling their helpline to sign up for their classes. So I sent in a resume and cover letter. Why do I not have a good feeling about this........

Who knows, maybe you can do what they need! You may actually have an advantage is not knowing social cues--NTs can't pick them up when working with the disabled--certainly not in this situation. Instead, you can compensate with patience, and the willingness to do stuff in a task, rather than time based fashion.

99.9% likely a con artist is trying to exploit your disability by appealing to it. If your resume includes an e-mail address be prepared for an avalanche of bogus "job offers."

It's only a job when THEY pay YOU. Anything else is a scam. Bail at the first hint they're looking for money. Legit companies always cover the cost of training new employees. NEVER give any prospective "employer" one cent.

On that basis I'd say whatever "prep classes" they're offering are also fraudulent.
