Has an article on things HR personnel will never tell you.

Stuff we already know.

If you're unemployed more than 6-months nobody will touch you. They presume there's something wrong with you which is why nobody's hired you. Insanely stupid when you consider the state of the economy.

Getting a job is all about who you know on the inside.

If you're over 50, leave dates off your resume because they don't consider hiring older people.

Lots of stuff to make your blood boil.

I saw that same article, some of it I take with a grain of salt. I've been out of work for over a year and a half and I generally get one interview a month, so it seems like I am at least being considered for jobs even though I'm long-term unemployed.

I have not seen the Reader's Digest article, but the following tells similar stories

If you want a job, never tell any employer that you have Aspergers syndrome, employers see that as bad as being a drug addict or sex offender.

I'm pretty sure a sex offender is looked upon more kindly....at least if you want to work for the TSA.

During my recent SSA disability appeal hearing, the judge did take note of my age as being some kind of favorable-for-me factor in her own mind, but yes, that same kind of "over the hill" perception held by many employers can be a factor held against some of us simply because of age.

Why don't you change the record?
