hi there,

i just know that I want to work in academics, but i jump with my interest quickly between psychology, math or philosophy. I can't make decisions. And on the other side, it seems very hard to get a job in academics, and I don't know if I could get accepted at a good graduate program, and I also don't know if i could leave my country and live so far away from my parents who get older and older.

anyone having the same sorrows?

thanks,
anton

I have a degree in Psychology. Most jobs expect good interactions with people, and you always have to be compared with NT's without your difficulties. I suspect Philosophy will also be a weak subject choice in terms of subsequent employability for an Aspie.

Definitely recommend more technical subjects, such as Maths, IT etc.
