I thought you guys might find this amusing.

In an effort to become a paperless office (this is the reason I have been told), we are going to stop using digital timesheets and go to paper timesheets. We will fill these timesheets out and FAX them, resulting in another piece of paper on the other end that they will scan into a machine. Also, there is an additional piece of paper that is yellow that acts as a carbon copy for our customer.

This paperless solution is replacing a solution where we used Excel spreadsheets in e-mail.

Score:
Old way: 0 pieces of paper.
New way: 2 pieces to fill-out + 1 on FAX End = 3 pieces of paper.

I love corporate logic. :-)

Hehe; no government. Just the usual corporate think. Really, they are just saving themselves the effort of having to type this information in at the expense of more paper. Of course, they can't say that. Why tell the truth when a lie will do?
