Hi all! I'm looking for a job and would like suggestions of websites or organizations to help me search. Currently I use Monster.com and have been checking out some local business websites for possible openings. However, I have been looking for about a year and can't find anything that I can handle. Most of what I do find is retail or require some sort of degree or x amount of months/years of experience, neither of which do I have. Ideally I would love to find work with a dog trainer, but there only seems to be one within driving distance and I contacted her several weeks ago but haven't heard back.
My biggest hurdles as far as being a good employee (besides the whole Autism, social/general anxiety thing, and Depression) are ADD and possible Learning Disorders (have been tested and am waiting for the results), as well as possible Epilepsy. Because of my (possible) LD's I am a very slow learner. In my last job after 6 months I still hadn't mastered the basic steps and ended up crying because I went home everyday and cried due to my inability to do anything right. I am also clumsy, mix numbers up, can't focus more than 3 seconds, can't remember steps/information, or else get it mixed up in my head, forget things easily, am horrible at math, and on and on and on. Also, until I hear other wise, I have been advised not to drive, which really puts a damper on my job search as I have to rely on family and buses for transport:(
So does anybody know of any organizations or websites that might be able to help me find a job?
