Work changes and not coping
I am having a very hard time at work.
I have a new role, a new boss, a new office.
Then in the last week my desk has been moved three times.
I almost had a complete meltdown (managed to get into a bathroom and control it to some extent) with a colleague who wants me to move again. I told him I need to be in the corner because I can't filter, he said we all need to learn to deal with it because we are in a much more crowded space. I said it's not about learnign, I get sensory overload and am doing my best to be flexible and deal with it but there are limits.
It's an impossible situation and on top of it all I'm moving house this week.
Any suggestions of strategies or coping mechanisms?
I've been dealing ok with lots of difficult situations but today it was like I'd reached my limit.

A new job and a new place to live at same time sounds really overwhelming.
Are there small things that you can create consistency around?
Someone here suggested bringing earplugs everywhere. You could also set up your desk the same way no matter where it is moved. Maybe there's a way to block out some of the visual stimulation with wall dividers/ a cubicle.
Whenever I've had to move house (which hasn't been in 10 years) I started packing as soon as I could. It gave me a lot of time to adjust to the transition, and sift through all of the stuff I'd accumulated. Which was usually A LOT.
Good luck.
