I don't really know what to do next.

I want to study educational science (and work with autistic kids) but fail to meet the entrance requirements. Still. Urgh.

I finished school in 08, took a gap year (and a half) and was employed for a couple of months. Just having been diagnosed with autism at that time, I did mediocre in school and that's what my final grade/numerus clausus/Abitur is like.

Educational sciences demand a better numerus clausus or that you spent a long enough time waiting to get in.

Okay, there's the possibility to do a combined bachelor of educational science and "something else" instead. Much lower requirements. That would leave me with half a degree in educational science though. It's just about studying the most basic things and nothing else that's usually associated with educational sciences such as communication, basic psychology or a lot of practical experience.

Useful alternative? I doubt it.

On the other hand, sitting around to wait is getting pretty daunting. It might be another 2 years until I can get in that way. Or 3?

Maybe I could continue to work part-time but the autism is making that difficult.

Apprenticeship? I'm not sure how that could work out. Flapping hands in a class-room full of people who don't know I'm autistic?

So part-time? How does one go about it with autism?

My current/last employer (provides assistances for special ed kids including autistic kids) knew about AS from the start and I somehow ended up getting no further serious job offers after the initial one.

I guess I shouldn't have taken that one job to begin with because they didn't like me from the moment I introduced myself. I was treated like a servant or a dog and complained, then promptly got told that I was autistic and that therefore the problem must be with me. That sure backfired on me.
