I have Asperger's Syndrome, Bipolar NOS and AD/HD, and I used to work with the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Rehabilitative Services. I worked at Goodwill Industries of the Valleys in the Work Adjustment Training (WAT) Program for 2 & 1/2 days and then quit my job and told my VR Counselor to close my DRS case cause I got mad at myself for quitting my job. Now, since I had my case closed 2 yrs ago, I've learned my lesson. I could've worked out the problem with my Job Coach while I was still working, but instead I quit. Now, I'm required to do volunteer work for 90 days for 20-25 hrs, and I have to submit a letter of recommendation in order to apply for DRS's Vocational Rehabilitation services, ever again. The pain and anguish I feel on quitting my job at Goodwill, is severe

If it is required than you are not a volunteer. Why do they want you to work for free? Your time is worth paying for. Tell them you made a mistake and have learned and want to work now.
