So as some of you may know I am broke and jobless for the time being.....So I am considering clinical research and or other focus group studies as a way to get a little income. Does anyone have any experience with that sort of thing or know any good websites to find out about such things in specific areas.

I still am not entirely sure I'd want to, but I am just trying to consider all the options, but yeah I figured I'd see if anyone here has any knowledge or experiences about or with this.

I don't know of any, but I do know that you don't want to get scammed or taken advantage of, so be careful.

I like your avatar by the way.

I would look in free newspapers and bulletin boardsat nearby colleges. Those are where I've seen them in the past.

Clinicaltrials.gov

That's the national clearinghouse site that lists approved clinical trials by the NIH.

A few of the first listed available out of the thousands of studies are:

Recruiting Treatment for Bipolar Depression: Acute & Prophylactic Efficacy With Citalopram
Conditions: Bipolar Disorder; Bipolar Depression
Interventions: Drug: citalopram + mood stabilizer; Procedure: FDG PET scans; Procedure: MRI structural scans; Procedure: Genotyping; Procedure: Blood Draw; Drug: placebo + mood stabilizer

Recruiting Evaluating the Efficacy of Adjunctive Minocycline for the Treatment of Bipolar Depression
Conditions: Bipolar Disorder; Bipolar Depression; Bipolar I Depression; Bipolar II Depression
Intervention: Drug: Minocycline

Or you could like, participate in a lab study and let them implant a rat's spleen in you.

Or donate your eggs. Sperm donation lands a few hundred bucks, egg donation lands a few thousand dollars and up.
