I do a great job at work, but if they change one little thing, no matter how small, it impacts everything I do somehow. I don't understand why, but until I get accustomed to it, the quality of everything else I do suffers somehow. It's embarrassing when I mess up and the boss is asking what happened and I have to say," well they added this extra line to the screen and it shifted some info onto the next page and I'm just not used to it yet" and they just kind of look at me.

I used to work for a company where procedures and policies were changing on a seemingly constant basis. It was incredibly stress-inducing and frustrating for me, and I (of course) had trouble expressing that in a "work appropriate" fashion. I would get so overwhelmed that I would just get distracted, ranty, and start to shut down. It sucked, so I know how you feel!

That sort of thing happens to me too. Little things, like moving stuff to a different shelf, can throw me off. Definitely an Aspie thing…
