I'm moving out to San Francisco and need part-time work right away. I am happy to work in a grocery store or restaurant. I also have a film degree if anyone knows of small film companies that are hiring.

Advice of any kind is welcomed. Please also feel free to leave discouraging remarks if it amuses you.

expensive, expensive, expensive. Everything costs too much. The average studio is $2k/mo. single rooms, no bath or kitchen, are $1k. Grocery stores are few and far between. The bus system is a nightmare. Streets are filthy. Weird people everywhere. I lived there for 21 months when I was 19 and 20, and it was exciting at the time, but the novelty quickly wears off, and you realize that you're in the middle of a very expensive city and have no money.

lol, I am going to college there so no choice, but I'm actually excited about being around weird people. I noticed the grocery store issue... that could be a huge problem. Sucks that buses are a nightmare, but at least I'll have a car and a bike.

What were you in SF for?
