Right now I am working on a website on Asperger's (mildaspergers.com) that helps people cope with Asperger's through resources, tips, and encouragement. I am wondering, do any of you work for yourselves?

No, but I will one day. I consider entrepreneurship a basic life skill today, even if I do work for someone else. At this point, I'm just accumulating skills and resources to being my own boss. It also helps to find an all-consuming passion, which Aspies are great at. For me, it's maps and geography, and I've taken a renewed interest in sharpening my geography and cartography skills.

I consider myself a proactive employee, and always on the hunt for ways to help my business. There are employers who do not value this. That's a shame, because proactive employees are the ones who add the greatest value, even if they screw up a few times. Enough employers (including the one I'm with now) expect proactivity that I don't think it's an unreasonable demand.

Yep, I've known for a long time that I'll never be able to work a proper 9-5 job, if not for whatever I'm diagnosed with next week, then because of my IBS. I've started and ran a few mildly successful forums (weather and game related) started advertising web design services (somewhat successful before I moved on) given guitar lessons (not successful, I realized I'm terrible at teaching), found some success re-selling video games on Ebay (especially Wii Sports when it was rare; bought them for $10 at Gamestop, sold them for up to $70 on Ebay in 2008)...these are all very little things, of course but a friend and myself are always in talks about future business plans. Hopefully we all find success!
