I recently left a part time job that was okay to pursue what I was told was a full time position. It turns out that what my new boss really wanted was someone who was on call all the time, but hours were not guaranteed. In retrospect I should have seen this coming, but I believed what she said at the interview. Anyway, I am now without a job (on call is not what I'm looking for - I like schedules.)

To top it off, my ex new boss wasn't too pleased and ended up calling me "seriously stupid." Well, now I feel like a complete loser. My old job wasn't bad, it's just that I wanted to do more. And now I'm having to scramble to find something else.

I think I'm either way too trusting, or am lacking in judgment; or both. Anyway, things are looking grim and I see the dark shadow of retail beginning to creep over me.

Don't let it get to you and discourage you from obtaining another job. I have been misunderstood by an ex-boss and she was a bully. I have also have had several bosses who thought I was an excellent employee. So there to bully bosses I say

Thanks. I like to think so. Can't get my old job back, they've hired someone else. I've applied to some other places.

sometimes the new person does not work out. maybe you can keep in touch with the old job in case they need someone in the near future. i know someone who was hired after their first choice changed his mind. Good luck! i hope you get a job doing something you enjoy.
