well,
today i received an inner-office envelop from our central office.
human resources sent me a psychiatric diagnosis that was given to me when i had an intake for county mental health back in november. apparently this was included in my 'recommendation for hire' or so the sticky note attached to it said.
it is relatively not good (major depression, borderline, alcohol abuse, self-harm, etc.)
so my work unit looked up this information prior to my hiring and accidently (it seems to me) included it along with my resume, etc. when they sent it over to human resources.
i was on the fence about providing them with my autism diagnosis (it is being completed by my psychologist currently) but this really decides it for me.
the fact that they committed this act already puts them on the hook for a lawsuit if they fire me, but im really not interested in lawsuits. i see it as, if they want to know so badly, if they are oh so curious, then i should give them the correct diagnosis.
i dont know. thought id share.
