Hi,
I was wondering if anyone in here has every been hired on a job where they you have no background or experience and you are trained and love the job. Then they go and hire someone else with more a whole lot more background than you even though they do not let you go. Even though they are not mean to you, you still feel out of place and feel replaced even if this was not the employer's intentions. Have you experienced that?

Been the and done that, but the main difference is I got left go as well. BTW, they spent more time training the replacement (who was friends with the boss) than with me.

I seem to suffer from this fear quite a bit and it seems to be the cast on every job. I mean things seem to go well and then someone else with more background than me comes in and then I notice them working intensely with that person. In fact, I will often either feel inferior or I will just sit and cry. (This includes being upset with that person).

I know the the boss would not do anything mean but it can still feel degrading.
