I haven't found a job yet, but hopefully soon it'll all work out. Now, I'm not getting my hopes up for continuous employment for more than 5 years, especially the poor employment statistics for Aspies. I am already having thoughts about moving out of my parents and into my first apartment whenever I can begin to afford rent. As for my independence skills, I decided that hands-on with some initial support is the best way to learn for me. Also I need some ideas for consideration when I finally do this. All I can think of so far is needing to pack my stuff somehow. And how long before you move in does this process take?

Then, I'm also worried about the time it will take robots to replace our work. I mean it sounds like the whole point of the science of technology is to eliminate people from the workplace and impact society in a bad way.

Depends on how much stuff you have to pack. Can take a few days, or a few weeks.

And I don't think you need to worry about robots quite yet.

I wouldn't worry too much about the "more than 5 years" part, because that will be in large part based on your skills.

As for robots, that's been discussed for longer than I've been alive, so I wouldn't be worried about that until I see a robot opening a car door and driving away.
