Months ago we had a new temporary manager and I was written up (not asked my side of the story) for monotone voice, no eye contact with an extremely rude customer. My supervisor standing beside me said I didn't do anything wrong. At the time he was a temporary manager but now he's our manager. Instead of talking to me like an adult, he tattles on me to my mother.... Things are just getting out of hand. I took my concerns up to an assistant manager yesterday and key everything out. I hope things can be fixed. I've worked there nearly 3 years and haven't had problems until now... I don't know what more I can do. I asked about holding an autism awareness month bake sale for staff in April and he got busy and never gave me an answer, I don't like bothering people so I didn't ask again. Same goes for the walk, I ask and people say they will later but I don't like to ask multiple times. I held a staff bake sale for SPCA no problem... I have co-workers who are very negative, always talking about quitting, cash registers and debit machines not working, it is getting really frustrating.

You should ask your manager (perhaps in an email or letter if that makes you feel more comfortable) if they would write up someone with paraplegia for the rudeness they showed in never standing up to greet someone. Then print out the ADA act and give it to them. No one can say something like that to you if you've disclosed that you are on the autism spectrum to human resources. If you haven't yet, NOW is the time to do it because they'll just continue to target you.

Pardon my french, but it's f****d up for people to treat you that way. You do not deserve it.

As to the negative people, you just have to ignore them.

If you seek reasonable accommodations for your disabilities the Boss will probably think that you are seeking special privileges.
Rather you should focus on your hyper abilities. During the American Idol competition there was a singer who had a speech impediment who simply could not speak without stuttering. Nevertheless he developed an ability to sing far better than most normal people.

The Assistant Manager told your mother that you had been written up? That seems inappropriate.

The Store Manager goes and "tattles" on me to my mother. There is supposed to be confidentiality. If I worked somewhere and my mum didn't work there, they won't call her.

There is a girl who is disabled who got a job through an agency, so I asked them if they call her mother in, they said no.

They said it's because of how I acted the last time I got in "trouble".
Which is when the Store Manager never asked my side of the story, and put it onto someone else, and I got written up with no chance to defend myself.

There's been a breakthrough! :D
They have recently hired an Aspie guy I know at work.
Another co-worker is a retired teacher and has worked a lot with people with disabilities, he's been trying to help the Aspie guy (he's had some bad meltdowns, anger), and has been helping with management to make them more aware.
Things are getting better! :D

Just when I thought things were getting better, I received a letter of "Final warning".
I had a really bad experience with a customer the other day and unfortunately management was around for the tail-end of it, and didn't stick up for me or help...

Next time I have a customer like that, I'm supposed to "call" management to intervene.

I just found 2 vacancies at my DREAM JOB online and they are a business known for hiring people with disabilities. I love their products! I updated my resume and sent it in.

You are sort of neurotypical but shows signs of autism. You probably enjoy intellectual activities more than socializing or maybe you enjoy socializing, but you aren't genius at it. You could be autistic, but may not be.
