I was interviewed by the staff at the botanical gardens at my university. A few days later they called me to let me know that they've decided to hire me and to come in to work on Monday to begin the training videos. Yay! I just wanted to share that with ya'll. I've been so afraid to seek employment until now bc I know there are some things that will be difficult for me bc of my auditory processing disorder. But I really think I can do this. It is a landscaping position, so mostly physical labor, and they know about my hearing and said they will do whatever they can to help. It's minimum wage, but hey I've got to start somewhere. I have no job experience and I really need to have some before I graduate if I hope to be hired then.
