I see what you are saying; however, in my opinion, it's sort of splitting hairs.
If you were successful before the diagnosis, there's no reason you should be unsuccessful after it.

You are assuming that my goal is to be successful in my job and win my colleague's approval, my goal is to understand myself better and accept myself for the person I am and not have to change for other people around me who are incapable of any self thought or introspection. I have done this for 28 years and I refuse to do it anymore, I am frustrated because I have to go among these people to earn a living for sustenance. That's what I'm unhappy about.
That's what just about everybody on WP is unhappy about. It's quite a feat you managed to fake being NT for 28 years!
Thanks CaptainTrips222, It wasn't a conscious decision to pretend to be an NT though, I was undiagnosed for 28 years and had no idea that I had Autism, I felt I was bad and broken and felt tremendous guilt and shame all my life, so it was really a survival mechanism more than a conscious choice to be an NT. Now, its even harder though because I know I'm not an NT, with skills I had to teach myself to survive for so long in a world surrounded by people that don't give a f***. Oh well!
