example... work for a university for 2 hours minimum.... hours depend on speed of posters taken down and put up.. dates of ones expired... check for ones that already up there..
paid sh***y wage...
like 10.25 for 2 hours for 2 days for 4 weeks

expenses are 1.90 bus tickets
60 dollar internet
30 dollar cell phone
food not included... parents
odsp gives me s**t
100 right now
700 total paid...
afraid of the cost of living on my own with sh***y jobs and odsp
but parents are a problem for me.

any idea how aspies can get the hell out of their parents house
or get more money

I'd cut out the Internet and the Cell Phone.

the worst part about being poor is that it takes up all your time.

i think some robbing of the poor and super rich - trillions of dollars is necessary... when a riot happens take advantage of getting free stuff....

Virgin Mobile and (I think) Boost Mobile have some really cheap plans. With VM it's $20 every three months, and IIRC the phone cost $25. It's a good plan if you rarely make any calls.

My and my mother both have the Virgin Mobile $20 every 3 month phones. We don't use them much so it's all we need.

I know it's not a lot, but that wage for the work you are asked to do is more than fair compensation.

I make about $12.50/hour and I do a LOT more than that.

Dizzle, capitalism per se is not your problem. Rather, it is the liberalism which accompanies capitalism. Here is the gist of the problem.

The cohort born between 1954 and 1965 used to be considered part of the Baby Boom cohort. Now they have been separated into something called Generation Jones. Why? Because this cohort--my cohort--was the first in American history not to do as well as their parents. And things have only gotten worse for each succeeding cohort, until now it is very difficult to find a decent job, even with good training. Here is why:

Since the early seventies, when my cohort began to come of age, the hostile elite class has co-opted what is supposed to be OUR government and used it to enact free trade policies that have encouraged businesses to offshore every job possible, meaning there are fewer good-paying jobs. Baby boomers and preceding generations could easily land a decent-paying job that would support a family on nothing but a high school education. These jobs have been offshored now to places like China and Mexico.

At the same time, the hostile elites opened up the borders in 1965, thereby admitting countless millions of immigrants to drive down wages on those jobs that are left.

As far as capitalism being the culprit, socialism is the alternative. I have seen socialism, and it isn't something I would wish on anybody. We need to reform the system we have.

Blabby, because of the problems described in this thread, I am at best a reluctant capitalist, and only because I have seen the misery wrought by socialism. I could add that at its best, capitalism provides a standard of living unrivaled by any other system or time period, including things like the Internet. But it is not without serious problems that have to be acknowledged.

let me say then, that I always ended up on the short end of the capitalist stick. I was never able to game the system to work for me. that takes talent, cunning and sheer good luck, none of which I have had the good fortune to meet.

I agree. If you read my original post, I explain why--assuming, of course, that you are younger than about sixty.

Having said this, allowing the best and brightest free reign is directly responsible for our standard of living. Socialism, as was the case with serfdom and slavery, provides for the less capable and inhibits the most capable, and tends to result in an innovative stasis.
