Ok so here is the situation.

I graduated college last April and am looking to obtain work with either with the city or state government in a clerical/administative role. In order for me to accomplish this goal I needed help from the State Burueau of Vocational Rehabilitation. So far the process has been going smoothly with one exception of me having to work night shift....... Anyway, the job coach is scheduled to come tomorrow morning. I talked with the management at my place of work and they obliged me to take one day shift tomorrow in order for the job coach to come out and talk to me.

Now according to the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor the job coach will come out and talk to me and ask me some questions relating to performance at my job. If the problems that I am experiencing at my job ARE a case of burnout as I informed her earlier then the BVR will take the next step with me which is to enroll me in a three month job training program sponsored by the Goodwill which takes people with diagnosed disabilities and offers them computer skills training in order to obtain office jobs.

So my next question is does anybody have any pointers or tips for me as to what to say and what not to say to the job coach that will help me move on to the next step towards my goal?

I'd just tell her you hate the job you have and want the computer training. if she is any kind of worthwhile social worker, that should be enough. having choices and control over your own life is the whole focus of the recovery movement, which is government-sponsored and increasingly embraced by health care providers.

See in my mind the only way that I will get out of this job is if I am having problems with it due to my disability.
