Has anyone ever been hired by an organized company?

I always seem to be hired by mickey mouse organizations who just seem to muddle through hand to mouth and it's frustrating. No one ever seems to know what they doing and nothing gets done correctly.

I don't know if this is just the norm for all organizations and my expectations are too high. I've been in a few jobs in several different sectors and I only ever seem to end up in places like this.

I'm disillusioned. I don't feel like making an effort to be better at my job because no one else is. I'm like a butterfly fighting the wind.

What are your experiences?

Try working for a government agency.

Over organized.

I have worked in the corporate environment now for ~ 27 years, all in high technology. I have worked at big companies and small. By and large, from my perspective, the environment is generally disorganized and chaotic (for my liking).

Earlier in my career, I worked harder than almost anyone else, trying to create order out of the chaos. It was an uphill battle.

I became a contractor roughly 4 years ago. That has worked much better for me, as it allows me to distance myself from these problems.

I'm beginning to think it's just me. I am too much of a perfectionist and want things to run more smoothly when in reality they can't because no one is perfect.

Humans are inherently disorganized. A NT with OCD would have an issue with this as well.

I'm not surprised when organizations are as sloppy as they are in their operations.

Except the one I work for. Man, if my coworkers think *I* am like a dictator I would hate to see them in the military. Every single company (public or private) that I have ever worked for has been disorganized and inefficient. It is so frustrating when in the past I would point out ways of saving large amounts of money, be ignored then told there is no money in the budget for a raise.

That's what I am struggling with now. I could literally take a 6 hour lunch and nobody would notice or care. I have pride in my work that it seems few others have!

Speaking as a manager in a small public service organization, sometimes budget has to dictate your efficiency, or maintaining the standards of the network we have with the other buildings, libraries in my case.

What matters, in my opinion, is that you keep the company policies, but that you organize yourself the way you need to be organized.

What I have is efficient for me, because I am a verbal thinker to the extent o f never having any picture thinking. It pains me but it is true. If you are visual or verbal or kinesthetic, organize to your strengths and acknowledge that everyone else's strengths are different.

I dont get job in organised sectors somehow they reject me during interviews as they somehow realise that i dont have confidence and self esteem.
i have a job in a NGO presently they are new in their process and keep trying new things and policies which keeps on changing from time to time the supervisor suggests something else the senior teacher suggests something else and manager something else

overall their is chaos but i just keep doing my work...
i have to deal with my depression and mood swings
and holding a job is not easy
