god i just want a part-time job that i can handle. i don't care how much it pays. i don't even care if it pays minimum wage. i just need to not be on my feet all day and dealing with a lot of people. and on the busline. is that so much to ask?

also why is it disabled people who can work get a break on their medicare premiums (assuming they don't make X amount of money) and people who can't (as in me who can't find do-able part-time work) and aren't below the 133% poverty theshold have to pay the full premium? e.g. if i worked part time and made between 1-500 dollars a month my premium would go DOWN.

luckily i am currently covered under my ex's private insurance but that won't last forever. in fact, legally, he's not obliged to keep me on the plan past this month.

My Medicare premium is covered by my state's Medicaid, though it took them a whole year to actually start paying it after they notified me that they would. Worth checking into.

I'd like to work part time, just to get out of the house once or twice a week, and I have a completed novel I'd like to publish, but I'm afraid to make any money beyond SSI at all, lest it upset the assistance applecart and cause me headaches with Federal Agencies, my budget is so precariously balanced as it is, even a minor change could leave me unable to cover everything. :shaking: :bounce: :shaking:

I know . . . it's the same here. Once you're on disability you can work and still receive the balance in benefit payments as well as receiving medical benefits. But if you are working you can't get on disability. It seems arbitrary.

I can't find a job either. It sucks.
