That's right I have an interview coming up today. Hopefully, everything will go okay, but to be honest I'm little nervous. Considering I've apply several times to different stores now, but never even got a chance to an interview. I don't want to screw this up, and make myself look bad. :pale:
Currently being unemployed isn't exactly doing wonders for my confidence.

Good luck! :D

Try to legitimately arrive at the interview 10 minutes early. (8 to 12 minutes early is probably a good range to shoot for) And this means at the actual HR or personnel office and not just at the store. If you happen to get there earlier and mill the store a little bit, be relaxed and low-key about it.

If the person asks you, "Tell me what is your biggest weakness," to me that is a trick question. One good answer is, "well, I can sometimes be too much of a perfectionist, which might sound like a good thing, but can get in the way. Now, a real good remedy to that is to try and get ahead of the curve and get the task done early. And that way, in the rare event I've made a mistake, there's plenty of time to correct it."

You generally do want to give another positive about yourself. And be relatively brief, like two, three, or four sentences, something like that. If they ask "tell me a time you exceeded a customer's expectations," well, then they're basically asking you for a story and you can be somewhat longer.

Again, good luck. And maybe treat yourself to something positive after the interview, like watching a favorite TV show or seeking out a book which looks fun and interesting.

Thanks for the advice, I'm sure it will help. Being on time is actually a strength of mine by the way. People have told me in the past that I was so consistent being on time for anything. That they could set their watches to me. I don't know if I should feel weird about that, but I will take the compliment.

@ kraftiekortie I hope so too, and thanks for the wishes. :)

By the way, I just got back from the interview, and I think it went well. They still have to interview others and all. That being said they would call me if they're interested. So I'm crossing my fingers for luck. :thumleft:
