I was reading over the application for a Metro Disability Pass, and one things it said is: Conditions which do not qualify are: pregnancy, obesity,
controlled epilepsy, contagious diseases which pose a danger to other passengers, and less
severe mental illnesses.

Does Autism Spectrum Disorder count as "less severe"? Does anyone else have experience with this?

Hate to say it, Sir. You probably don't qualify. I guess you could try--you never know. I'm sure you have to be at least on SSI/SSDI.

If Autism is severe enough to be a Schedule A disability, it's severe enough to get a disability metro pass. You'll just need documentation.

I have a feeling that the OP's autism is not severe enough to qualify as Schedule A--but you never know.
