Job coaches and employment advisers have said (in relation to me) we will help you get a job with company's who employ people with long term health conditions such as yourself. I did once ask my employment adviser what she meant by that and she pointed out my eye contact as being one of the reasons she labelled me as having a 'health condition'

What did they mean by 'long term health conditions? I was diagnosed with aspergers in 1997.

You have Asperger's all of your life. One cannot be "cured" of it. One could, however, make adjustments--to the point where, with some frequency, one could "hide" their Asperger's quite well.

That employment advisor obviously lacks sufficient knowledge of Asperger's: It's not a "health" condition.

That person also seems quite insensitive.

If you do your job well, it's irrelevant whether you have Asperger's.
