Advice for going freelance to work from home?
Hi everyone, I have been working as a graphic designer for a small web development firm for over a year now. It's not really bad, but things are not going particularly great. I would like to work from home but they only will keep me if I work on site in the office. I have a long drive to work, I'm rushed because I have to work around my daughter's schedule with school, and I get paid the same rate as the secretary.
I've been toying with the idea of going freelance for a while but I've been scared because if I can't find work I won't be able to afford to buy food, pay rent, or anything.
What do you all recommend? Does anyone have experience doing freelance work? If so, how did you get started?
Thanks in advance
