Have a problem at work, a new senior manager has just started, she was talking to me about one of the kids we look after not wanting to have a bath, and said:
Her: Well, do you shower twice a day?
Me: yes.
Her: wash your hair everyday?
Me: yes I do.
Her: b***h (muttered quietly)
I realise that was a rhetorical question now, probably? So I should not have said anything. She spoke to the manager, saying I am arrogant. I have never been called arrogant before by anyone. Whilst its not a great problem as my manager is aware I have aspergers, I feel like I am always in trouble for something at work.. Was her reaction understandable? Or have I completely misread the situation? I feel rather useless..
I am worried about working on shift with her again, I don't want to mess up again and have her report me every shift.

I don't understand what you did wrong.
Maybe I have misread the situation as well but I don't think her reaction was understandable.

I dont see any thing you did wrong.Nothing you said makes her calling you "b***h" exceptable.I think you should ask your manager what your co-worker meant. She probably knows the person better and might understand why she was upset.I think she was the person in the wrong and should be made to apologise to you....how is her behavior exceptable?

Relax, you have worked there longer than she has. She also sounds like she's the b***h! So just keep doing what you've been doing.

Its hard to work out what they mean...
She should not have asked you about your bathing habits and she verbally abused you by saying b***h.
Some manager!

YEAH NO DOUBT!! I'd say the b***h sayer is the b***h! How inappropriate to ask about bathing habits unless warranted and HOW VERY RUDE.

And WE'RE supposed to be the inappropriate rude ones!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !!

The only thing I can think of- and this may or may not be possible depending on what you meant when you said one of the kids you look after didn't want to take a bath- is that she was trying to make a point that not everyone likes to bathe THAT frequently and there's nothing wrong with that, but you thwarted her. Like maybe she was trying to say, well the kid doesn't want to bathe twice a day, he's just a kid, and I don't blame him- geez, do YOU bathe twice a day? And then when you said yes, it sounded to her like you were saying that her bathing standards were under par. Is that possible?

I think you may be right. She is not being very friendly now, I don't mind though, Id like it if she doesnt talk to me again.
