Hi there, I have a job in which I pretty much need general personality traits of people with Aspergers.

I wholesale and e-tail gemstones & jewellery. I need someone 10-20hrs/week to sort gems, weigh, measure, do data input and take pictures & video of them.

Although likely boring for most people with aspergers, I basically need the 'regular' traits found in a large population of people with aspergers:

*Smart
*Honest
*Detail Oriented
*Loyal

Pay is $11/hr part time, pretty flexible on time anything between tues/thurs/fri 9-4, wed 12-4 You can set your own hours within there but need to stick by them.

Any help finding someone would be greatly appreciated.

You know, you can't hire people because they have Asperger's any more than you can discriminate against hiring someone because they have Asperger's. I understand where you are coming from, but not all people with AS will have the traits you list, in fact not as many as you might think. So maybe you should re-word your post, since having this 'out there' can be a potential legal liability. Something like "Looking for employees" as the title, and in your original post, delete the first sentence, and delete "with aspergers" from "Although likely boring for most people" and voila.

Actually I found a place that connects people with aspergers to work.

Although you are likely correct that technically it isn't legal, I don't see it being challenged any time soon as there are many NGOs out there that do that.

Neurotypicals aren't a protected class (in the legal sense). Plus, there are so many more job opportunities for those with people skills and the right behaviors in the all-important job interview.

I'm an Aspie in Toronto with most of those traits, but I'm not looking for a job at this time.

I just have severe volatile temper and really have poor social interaction and lose my temper a lot so I really prefer a job where I don't interact people at all but I am highly intelligent. I prefer computer work but I can do any. I am clumsy tho.

This kind of a job would be difficult to fill because it is impossible to survive on $11/hour part-time job. Also, having to work mornings precludes almost anyone from being able to get a normal-pay full-time job at the same time.

Actually, I've just realized this is an old thread and the job is probably not available anymore...
