I got turned down for another job today. But I got an offer to move in with an uncle to save money.... if his wife leaves that is... yes, they are going through a nasty seperation... I've lived with my aunt and uncle before, and aunt doesnt like me, but what if we move in and my aunt comes back or something... it would solve some problems but create others...

If you're in imminent danger of being evicted, I'd take the uncle's offer.

If not, then I would wait it out, and continue to seek work.

Can your uncle advance you $1,000 or $2,000 for a used car? That seems to be a major roadblock in obtaining a job for yourself: transportation.

So ... an older man is willing to let his younger niece move in with him as soon as his wife is out of the picture ... what are his motives?

It is true that people will take advantage of those with disabilities, so, we should always keep on our guard.

But, not everyone is an abuser. I was raised by my grandfathers and my two uncles had a big influence on me as well (one acting as a father figure, the other acting as a big brother figure). I'm definitely a better person for their involvement.
(I did have an uncle through marriage that was a creeper, but, kept well away from him.)

My uncle's poorer than me... his major motive seems to be he wants someone to share the bills because of he would be in trouble where he lives now and would have to sell his property or something. Our main concern is the bills not being split equally.

My uncle is like my dad since my real father was not present, I've spent plenty of time with him and he's never been inappropriate. I used to call him everyday! Now though he's more distracted by his wife leaving.

Oh, and it's me and my husband moving in with him! Not just me.
