I've mentioned that I've done PI work and bounty hunting when I was in Bham, but a good friend of mine who is retired LEO and retired military is doing that now and he's offered me a job. I've been doing some skip tracing for him and I go with him when he goes to pick up females and also sometimes when he needs backup picking up males, and also when he has a situation where he needs to get the subject away from a group before he grabs him. I get a percentage and uts enjoyable work. He's a badass so I'm safe and I can handle myself and know how to get out of the way if need be. I knew him from being in the same crew with him as bad teenagers lol. But he turned his life around and I pretty much did too. He offered it to me recently and I accepted and I've done a few things and been out a few times.

Y'all have no idea how much it means to me to have something that gets me out of the house. Especially something within little excitement that isn't ringing up stuff at a store or cleaning somebody's house. Thank God is all I can say.

Congratulations! Hope you'll enjoy your new job. :)

It sounds kind of weird, it all sounds like something out of a crime novel. Take care of yourself, as it sounds a little dangerous.

Good for you, OOM!

By the way, I've always wondered how you got the name Olive Oil Mom. What's the story there?

Thanks Bea and everyone else too.

As for my user name, my maiden name was the same as a major brand of olive oil and my mother and I used to tell people that it was spelled the same when they wrote it down. Same as the olive oil. I used that as an email and I shortened it to OOM for a user name. I didn't want just Olive Oil because I think of Olive Oyl on Popeye so since I have four kids I just chose Olive Oil Mom.

Oh, and someone said it sounds like a crime novel but it isn't. It's just bounty hunting and it happens every day all over the country. I've done it before when I was in my 20s and lived on the city. It's not that hard or really that dangerous. I'm chasing the guy or gal for money and not because I have a responsibility to arrest them for a crime. I will be a private contractor and can walk away at any time if I feel it's too dangerous or if I just get tired of it or something comes up. But I'll be with somebody now who will be shouldering most of the responsibility for our safety, and he's truly the most badass guy I know.
