Female Aspie here. For the past few years, I have gone back and forth between working as a direct support professional (assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in their own homes) and substitute teacher (I especially like working as a substitute paraprofessional/teacher aide with special needs students - more one-on-one time and less needing to respond quickly to large groups of neurotypical students, who sometimes take advantage of my Aspie social slowness and executive function issues when I'm doing more standard sub assignments).

I find both jobs rewarding, I do well in enough aspects to keep doing them, and there are also enough challenges to keep me developing as a person as well.

Self-Employed. Technically, I'm on the verge of starting my own website (my business). The tricky part for me would be getting it monetized, but I know I can do it. :)

Up until very recently, I was working at a small ('Hometown') version of a box retail store (Shopko). I liked it. Retail isn't nearly as stressful as foodservice, in my opinion. It would've been a really good job if my life wasn't slowly spiraling downward to the point of psychiatric hospitalization for two weeks. Shame.

playing games

because no employer wants me, no social skills, nothing to offer them, i think too outside the box, short term memory loss but unable to prove it, local citizens advice is useless, says my mental health is very mild (ie too neurotypical or close to normal person but everyday is not the same), enthusiastic but does not show it but I try. I would ace the interview if I could remember a damn thing if my anxiety would let me.
