Hi guys,
My idea to start a Think Tank is a monetary one as well as a problem solving ideation so difficult problems can be solved easily, efficiently and at a low to moderate cost.
The research areas can be multifold, but they would need to be areas that can make money, abstract and theoretical subjects such as history, philosophy etc, would likely not be able to attract funding, thus would be dead end problem solving areas.
Key areas would be engineering, social improvements in all areas of life, psychology, military applications, improved function and applications of commercial products, implementable improvements of animal and human rights, cross scientific solutions that create a better solution combined with different implemented areas compared to for example a single or dual scientific field.
Examples could be:
Military: Improved safety of helmets (most vulnerable and fatal contact place of the human body), armour, chemical tags (i.e. a chemical that adheres to clothes or skin and can be detected by digital scent technology)
Social: Improvements to cultural, social, economic and healthcare solutions, that can be globally standardised and implemented cross culturally.
Medical: Improved defibrillators, improved coagulant products, solutions to create health care that is not dependent on medical insurance, improved animal healthcare treatment solutions, non invasive neurologically altering solutions for various mental disease states.
Engineering: Improved man made flight machines, uncapsizeable yacht technology, improved traffic safety solutions, improved identity confirmation solutions, such as biometrics, a different type of password technology, etc.
Commercial product improvements, too many to mention and also better to discuss privately.
Solutions to any of these ideas I'm sure would attract a lot of funding, it's just to get started.
Let me know what you think,
M
