I did a timed assessment today (I've done some in the past). I would have been great at it, had I not had like 6 or so minutes to do 20 questions. Some of them were math, some were number patterns, some were other things. I did fine at first, but when I started to get toward 2 minutes and lower, the time pressure sent my mind to mush.
Am I the only one that has these issues or have others here had that same problem?
I work slowly due to my processing differences, for which I have a diagnoses of NVLD, and a physical disability, so I tend to perform slowly on timed tasks. I would most certainly have to invoke the ADA if an employer insisted I take one. However I tend to be more accurate in my work than others, and maintain superior accuracy when the time constraints on others is removed.
