Suitable jobs for law graduates
Hello, i'm a law graduate and interning right now but i have no idea what i should do after it's over. I'm very stressed about living with my parents and i want to move out as soon as possible so i really need money. I really don't think i can be a lawyer, i'm definitely not smart or socially able enough.
I just want a calm and routine job, it doesn't have to be law related at all. Actually it'd be a lot better if it wasn't i barely finished college. like most people i didn't know i was autistic and was called "gifted" in my childhood so i thought i could study law.
I would be really pleased if people could share their experiences with jobs, like what did you think was suitable for you, or low-stress and don't require fast thinking?
Thanks in advance.
Not much help from me. I finished law school and realized in the last semester that I did not want to practice.
My degree has been a millstone around my neck as far as opportunity goes. People don't look far past the J.D.
I'm getting by, maybe even doing okay, but the education was a waste of time.
Frankly, if you barely got through college, law school is a bad choice to start with.
Your best bet at this junction is to see about getting a law job that works with your temperament. Of course, I suppose you still need to pass the bar exam. I've worked in law offices for almost a decade, not as an attorney. I wanted to stay completely away from the law, but it's been the only area where I get taken seriously as a job applicant.
Had I known back then....
