Hi all,

This is actually my first post in the "Wrong Planet" community - I can't tell you how many times this site has helped me cope with very difficult situations/events (school, friends, dating, etc). Thank you.

I'm posting to see if anybody else works in a field/career/job that places a large emphasis on social-interaction and relationship building? It might seem counterintuitive to some, but I have managed to study/learn transactional relationships in a way that allows me to work behind the scenes in politics. While I love my job, I often find myself exhausted and isolated after work (partly because I'd rather be alone, partly because I continuously fail to create sustainable, personal relationships, and partly because I interact with so many people at work).

Does anybody else find themselves in a similar situation?
