Hello there...

It seems as though I have been having trouble finding a job. Actually, it's been 5 years since my graduation from college and I have been jumping from one job to the next. I was getting good grades and graduated with a 3.3 GPA, not like it even means anything. Right now I am trying to look for a job in Social Media as a Social Media Manager or anything in Human Resource just to get a job and stick with it.

Not that it matters but I love music a lot. All I think about and do is listen to music, I recently started DJing 6 months ago and that turned into learning how to produce 1.5 months ago. Not sure how I can pursue a job in music since it seems unstable and stuff. Can someone help me because I am getting pressure from family to get a career and need something to stick with that pays 50k - 60k.

I just want something that pays that I can stick with and where people can leave me alone because I don't like talking to people for some reason.

Do you have any experience in the social media field or work you can point to a prospective employer? If not you may want to see if you can work under someone in the social media field
Also did you check with your college's career center to see if they have any advice. They will usually take alumni for a fee.

LOL Dream ON!! You're a job-hopper with NO experience----SURELY, you're not serious?

Also, you've been outta college for FIVE years----that means you graduated at 25 (I read in your post history that you're 30)----unless you got a Master's, why'd it take so long; they're gonna wanna know.

Try USAjobs.gov----I already checked for Social Media Manager in San Fran, and they don't have an opening; but, I would suggest YOU checking to see if there's something else, for which you're qualified, because, basically, you can't get fired from the Feds. Make sure that after you enter your location on the first page, that you click on "Federal Employees" (far left side - scroll a tiny bit); it'll give you more choices----and, they're NOT all for federal employees (most are for "U.S. citizens"); I don't know why their program is so stupid.

Well just trying to find something to survive in the Bay Area. I've been working a lot of minimum wage jobs.

I have been interning for the an online social media organization for the past 2 - 3 months now. I'm also looking at other jobs too in Human Resources and maybe possible music. Dunno. Anything that can get me out of this current job that I am in.

Go on some informational interviews. See what employers want from social media managers,

I will try and do that. If that doesn't work out, I was looking into Human Resources or something where I can land a full-time position soon. I would say that I want to find ways to be involved in the music business but music does not make good money...
