SSI and how to get it?
So a long while back I posted about my inability to keep a job and yada yada. I managed to hold a job for a while, liked it, but was fired. Have a new job for about a year now, but its only part time, and my father wants me to start paying rent starting this year. I managed to scrape up about half of my paycheck and gave him this months $100.
This will not work out. I know it wont work out, because now I can't pay my phone bill(which I already only pay for every-other month to cut costs as it is) and I can't buy my own grocieries for these next two weeks. I only manage to get just over $250 and that kinda jumbles around since its based on how many hours I'm clocked in. So one pay I could be clocked for 15.5 hours, and the next 16.2, that kinda thing. The only way I can even conceive of staying alive would bee to seek aid in the form of SSI. Every google search I've done these past couple of months tells me Aspergers is covered, but I'd need to "prove it" in some fashion. I was denied initially a few years ago (3 or 4) and from what I gather many others are as well, but can manage to get it with an appeal.
This is where you(or me or whoever reads this) come into play. I need some sort of plan or guide as to how to do this. I have no clue where to begin. I don't have a doctor anymore. The papers I have for my diagnosis are almost a decade or so old now. We are talking about starting from absolute Zero progress here.
Please help me if you can, and thanks for reading.

First, find an attorney that deals with the Social Security Administration. Most of them work on a contingency basis. Let him or her deal with the paperwork, including the documentation you already have. Follow whatever advise the attorney gives you.
Being you already applied, you will need an attorney for an appeal. As said they work on a contingency basis and collect on you back payment… I suggest it as a last resort. SSI unlike SSDI, is very low. I would strongly encourage considering your local tech school. Grants and loans will help with current living expenses and help toward a useful career in a much shorter time then college. You could also apply for food stamps if possible.
