I'm about to start a work placement through uni and my employer wants to meet to discuss a support plan- all very good :)

However, I'm pretty new at this and all I know for certain is I've never managed to maintain a job due to burn out... I unfortunatley have no idea what may be helpful to me...

Has anyone else had any adjustments made for them at work which they have found to be helpful?

Of course I realise we're all different but just to get a general idea could be helpful, thank you :)

What work will you be doing?

My plan included limiting interaction with colleagues ie. I had a separate quiet room to sit in for lunch, I didn't have to attend unnecessary get togethers/group morning teas/planning/meetings etc.

Communication by email instead of phone/face to face.

I had a mentor to advocate on my behalf, explain things to me I didn't understand, make phone calls, organise transport and accomodation and to attend one on one meetings such as performance reviews with me.

I found all of the above helpful, but it depends on the job whether they can accomodate the accomodations, so to speak :)
