You can't snap at someone to get them work, but instead you have to work with that person, and that person has to work with you. Like the saying you can't bring a horse to water, but that horse has to go to water by itself.

That's the same with being productive. At many times you feel like snapping at yourself, take a step back, and recognize that saying I'll mow the lawn is not the same as actually mowing the lawn. What you are intially doing is lying to yourself, and that's procrastination, nonstop, and although giving yourself a note on when to mow the lawn is a great thing. Once is enough, and go out and mow the lawn.

You don't need to wait at the right time and moment, because like that horse that has been trudging through the rough desert and snow without water, and refuses to, you have to drink your water because you need it to move forward productively.

Don't confuse yourself with the right or wrong, or even philosophy of mowing the lawn, or perhaps even confuse yourself that mowing the lawn requires years of experience, or that you have to mow it perfectly like all the others, or that you'll one day start a business mowing the lawn... Speculating whether or not the business will happen, and you must prepare for it... Or how realistic or practical is mowing the lawn at this moment...

Just mow the lawn. Just do the work.

Drink your water, you have to, and you can't move ahead without drinking the water. Everything is dependent on those tasks at this time and moment. No complaint.

The unenthusiastic guy who hates mowing the lawn, and wishes you would do it is doing it better, because he simply is mowing the lawn. I also wouldn't advise conflicting with the unethusiastic worker or even the boss about mowing the lawn. The only feeling that you should feel and listen to is your body saying move to lawn mower, listen to your boss, and mow.
