I just joined WrongPlanet today, looking for some advice on how to find a career/job.

I am equally interested in writing (not novel writing, more like journalism, news, etc.) an learning music theory. [I have a very musical thought process. I find the process of transferring the thoughts into actual music quite difficult though.] The fear of failure is overwhelming me though. I do not want to be hired for a job where the sensory input required for me is greater than I can offer. In layman's terms, I don't want to experience sensory overload.

It would be of great help if anyone could tell me what jobs could fit my bill. Thank you! Preferably jobs where I am alone and I can work with peace, or an online job.

If anyone could offer me opinions on these options, that would be great.

Thank you!

You might want to consider copywriter or proofreader as options.
The former means that you are offered a rough draft of an article that a reporter wants published (whihc can be about anything: local news, a book review, a science article...) with the assignment to turn it into a legible and coherent article to be printed.

The latter lets you read the product offered by the first in order to find and (let) fix any errors in spelling and grammar, as well as pointing out parts that could do with being rewritten to make them easier to read.

Both of these jobs are in the 'writing' field, and both are mainly solitairy.

Hey there MisterChristian!! ! I am experiencing exactly the same thing as you. I'm yet to enter the workforce and want to be a copywriter, but the uncertainty about what it would involve creates such intense anxiety for me. Best of luck to you.
