Okay, I'm 24 and haven't held down a job for very long in my life, I have spent a fair bit of time since I graduated high school in either higher education study (successful ly or unsuccessfully), doing a little volunteer work or unsuccessfully looking for work.

I'm in university now, studying Accounting, I will end up with a bachelor's degree in Accounting with a 'minor' in Business statistics, on top of a Certificate IV in Financial Services in Accounting , I currently have. I signed up to a local job agency dealing with those with disabilities, my membership is currently suspended (agreement with my case manager), it can be reactivated at anytime.

Where I live in Australia I have found it impossible even to get a job at a supermarket or McDonalds because they prefer under 18’s because they pay them less and all the jobs I’ve applied require experience. I guess my main fear once I finish university is even these qualifications will be not enough to get a job.

Any helpful tips can be appreciated.

The job agency is a good idea. Also check with your school to see about career counseling
