Does anyone here have any experience being a security guard? I've been researching it a bit, and looks like one of the easiest jobs in the world, but it pays surprisingly well from what I've seen. All you have to do is sit around all day/night and do pass the time however you can. If there's a breakin, you aren't allowed to do anything, you just call someone else to take care of it. More than anything, you're just a scarecrow to scare would-be bad guys away. What do you guys think?

The closest I had was guard duty in the military. It was absolutely the most boring thing I have ever done. No music, no reading, nothing interesting to look at; just stand there as a human scarecrow. I don't know how people could do that brain dead job day after day. They would have to have a great imagination in order to stay sane.
