In my field, I see a lot of internships but internships are not interested in me because I already had a couple internships. But then the permanent jobs require like 5 years of related experience or something I don't have. There are lots of seasonal jobs but they have no benefits and often are part time and pay just minimum wage. Then there's the fact I've been on disability for so long and now they are reviewing my disability again and last time they did that they said they decided I was going to "recover" soon and probably would not qualify in the future. I had a breakdown today over this stuff and facing the possibility we might be completely incomeless soon because my husband's disability won't come until 2019 at the soonest. I'm getting really messed up. Too many obstacles.

But what's wrong with trying to get one of those temporary part time jobs? I mean of course a permanent/long term full time one would be better, but if you have a risk of not having any income then won't the money you'd get from a low paid part time job be a lot better than that? If you know you don't have enough skill and experience to get the well paid full time jobs then shouldn't you just aim a bit lower? Or at the very least also aim lower while trying to get a good job? You know, try to keep both doors open?

I was having a really rough day when I posted that and when I have a rough day everything looks dismal. I have a phone interview on Friday that is only 6 months but would pay well and I could possibly save some money.

You can do it! Go Angnix go!

I hope you get the job... and if not, temp jobs can be a good option as Fireblossom mentions. My current career was built on taking a temp job for data entry that turned into a permanent position and I've managed to be relatively successful with it.

Six months is actually a pretty good lenght for a job these days, or at least it is where I come from.

So today... Finalized that second interview with the one place is going to be by phone Friday morning, but I got a call from yet another nearby nature center I sent in an application to that they want an in person interview on Friday afternoon! So so far the tally is within the month of March, 4 in person interviews, one at a zoo and three at nature centers, and one second interview by phone.
