So as sort of a follow-up from a previous post, I did get my first job as a bagger at a grocery store.

However, I am extremely nervous, and in the fifteen or so minutes I was actually bagging today after shadowing someone, I made several mistakes and was struggling to try to retain all the information another worker, trying to help, had given to me all at once.

My fear is being the worst bagger in existence and getting fired in a week. Next week I'll be watching training videos.

Anyone else a bagger? Is it an okay Aspie job?

I tried working in retail in a grocery store stocking shelves just to get out of the house for a while (freelancing is isolating) - and I found it to be really stressful, eventually it caused me to have a meltdown.

I'm unsure how many aspies can work retail, but also know that for many (like myself) it's anxiety provoking.

My best advice: see if you can handle it, if not there's no shame in looking for something else.

Your age, I'd say if grocery stores don't work try movie theaters. It's grimy work cleaning up, but a lot less stressful.
