Despite my mental Illness and physical muscle tone limitations, my therapist says because of my bachelor's degree and high intelligence I should be able to do something! But in this small city and now no car I'm not sure what to do. This is the time of year that a lot of the spring-summer bird jobs are posted, but most if not all stipulate that you need to be in good physical shape to do them and of course they are nowhere near here. I did try to apply to jobs around here but I'm not getting any interest from them. Arrrghhhh!

That's weird

Over 61 sessions and 2 years, the counselor did not mention working not even one time

And when I brought up working, she was like , why are you looking for a job?

She then told me that "you would like to contribute to the household"

What the flying f**k?

The statement was correct, but that's like putting on a panhandling sign "would like to contribute to the household"

My employment prospects are similar: I live in a small town that has almost no jobs, and I have no car.

If you are willing and able to work and you don't need to work immediately, try to think up work-from-home opportunities, freelancing. That's what I did. You may have to learn a new skill.
