Finding Work As A Radio Personality - Tips?
Hello,
My name is George. I have an avid interest in broadcasting and right now in college getting my degree in Communications graduating this year. I have aspirations to be a radio personality working my way up the ladder to being nationally syndicated and to satellite radio as my final far-future goal.
I have done a short internship with a nearby radio station helping them, volunteered for my college radio station that continues today, and have a private podcast used as a portfolio for potential employers. I also check online in many Career sections on various radio stations nearby my area and apply with the online applications. I also keep in check with LinkedIn to see for any advice or available jobs.
I want to know from possible employees of radio stations (if any) on what they did to get to where they are now. I'll take any advice and hope I can see what can be done to get into the field further than what I have described.
I hope you're all doing well!
