Volunteer-to-hire opportunities are likely found through non-profits; as private companies, and govt. agencies largely restrict volunteer opportunities in order to favor paid staff.

With online communications playing ever larger roles in the delivery of work projects, some non-profits might offer volunteer-to-hire opportunities that can be performed online form a distance.

Can such options subsequently help develop face-to-face work opportunities?
